The “Safer Communities Act”: How It May Affect Domestic Violence Cases in California
In June 2022, partly in response to a long string of mass shootings, Congress passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which President Biden promptly signed into law. Let’s talk about how the new federal law could impact California domestic violence cases going forward.
